Ever since Garrett Albertson started teaching Chess-in-the-Schools, he has seen tremendous growth and development in many of his students at MS 258 – Community Action School in New York City. The passion for teaching that he brings to the classroom is both inspiring and contagious.

Chess-in-the-Schools began in 1986 and is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to improving academic performance and building self-esteem among inner-city public school children.

David Leiken has been a Concert Promoter for almost 40 years. The Grateful Dead, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Buffet and Dave Matthews are all acts that he has produced from small club venues all the way to outdoor stadiums.

Listen and watch David as he credits the legendary rock promoter Bill Graham and shares with us his dedication to the quality of the experience for both the bands and the fans.
