Jim Sanders (AKA “Redford”) has been working as a live music sound man for over 35 years. He has provided audio reinforcement for some of the biggest rocks stars in the world, worked 13 Super Bowls and many other special events.

Cool story…what a fun job… I want to listen to Stevie Wonder all day

  2. This man deserves (like all those who do what he does) a special thank you from anyone who has ever gone to a show and found themselves immersed in a field of musical glory. As one who has been on both sides of the microphone I have a special understanding of what Redford’s job is all about … he’s a live record producer. And, he does what it takes to get it together and happening. We all have great memories of the 64 ounce Pepsi that was spilled on the spotlight platform above the mixing console at The Mount Hood Festival of Jazz. As the liquid dripped down and onto the mixing console (causing the sound system to go into uncontrolled feedback), Redford threw his body gently over the affected area, preventing a complete and total meltdown of the sound system. He then continued to mix without those damaged inputs as we disassembled the console DURING THE SHOW and cleaned and dried the modules off so they could be put back into service. That’s why you see so many posters and autographs on his wall that say “You are the best!” Thanks Redford! I love your entire ass.
