Contest Judging Criteria

HERE ARE THE FIVE CRITERIA USED FOR “The Startup Job” VIDEO CONTEST:

1. Entertainment Value
How enjoyable was it to watch the video and learn about the subject?

2. Inspiration
Did the video motivate you to consider further pursuing an interest of your own?

3. Video Quality
Consider: Lighting, sound, editing, “B” Roll,

4. Creativity
Did the video demonstrate novel and original elements?

5. Special Person, Uncommon Job, Unique Location
How well did the video adhere to the central theme of the contest and website?

ALSO NEW TO THIS CONTEST, WE WILL BE FACTORING IN AN ONLINE VOTING SYSTEM

Online Voting
From July 7th to July 14th all viewers are invited to vote for their favorite contest video. Online voting will account for 25% of the contest judging. You will be allowed one vote per visitor.

We use industry experts from advertising, screenwriting, talent agencies, television news and publishing.
